Slot Machines at Cascades Kamloops
On the main floor and mezzanine at Cascades Casino Kamloops you will usually see somewhere around 440 to 500 slot machines powered up, depending on how the layout is arranged that week. Games are spread over two levels and they are marked by denomination, starting at C$0.01 per spin and running up to C$5 per credit. That spread is handy in practice - you can ease into a new title on a small stake, or push the bet size higher once you feel comfortable with a machine.
Physical coins are not used on these slots. Every machine works on a cash, voucher, or card-based setup only. You put banknotes into the bill acceptor, slide in a casino voucher or tap your Encore Rewards card if it has a balance loaded. When you cash out, the machine prints a barcoded ticket with your remaining credits. You can feed that ticket into another machine or take it to the main cashier. The system is called ticket-in, ticket-out and it runs across all Gateway Casinos properties, so it will feel familiar if you visit their other venues.
Slot play plugs straight into the Encore Rewards loyalty program. As long as your card stays in the reader, every qualifying spin adds points to your account. Those points can later be exchanged for free play credits that you can move back onto eligible machines on the Cascades floor.
Titles You Will Actually Find on the Floor
The specific game list moves around from time to time, but a handful of titles keep coming up in player feedback and official lineups at Cascades Kamloops:
- Cleopatra
- Wicked Winnings and Wicked Winnings II
- Buffalo Gold Revolution
- Lock It Link
- Dancing Drums
- Bonus Times
- Phone Tag
- Rich Girl
- Majestic Sea
- BC Gold (province-wide progressive, 2-cent denomination)
BC Gold is worth calling out on its own. It is a progressive jackpot game plugged into a shared network that links several casinos across British Columbia. Every qualifying spin at any of those participating properties chips into the same prize pool, so the jackpot can step up quite a bit between winning hits. On the floor you will still notice some machines with a classic physical pull handle sitting next to the usual spin button - that is intentional for players who like the old-school mechanical feel while still playing on a modern cabinet.
How to Play Slots There - From Arrival to First Spin
If you have never set foot in Cascades Casino Kamloops before, the path from the parking lot to your first spin is straightforward, but it helps to walk through it in order.
Make your way to 1555 Versatile Drive, Kamloops, British Columbia. There is on-site parking and you do not pay for it.
At the main entrance, present valid government-issued photo ID. British Columbia sets the minimum age to enter and gamble at 19 years, so security will check that.
Once your ID is cleared, you walk straight onto the casino floor. There is no entry fee, no door charge and no paid membership barrier.
Before you sit at a machine, stop at the Encore Rewards counter and request a loyalty card if you have not joined yet. Signing up is free, and the process is usually just a short form and a quick print of the card.
From there, head into the slot area. Machines are grouped and labelled by denomination. Pick out a bank of slots that matches the total amount you are comfortable spending in that visit.
At the machine, feed cash or an existing voucher into the bill acceptor on the cabinet front. Your available credits will appear and update on the display instantly.
Insert your Encore Rewards card into the reader slot until it clicks in and the screen confirms tracking. This is how you keep earning points on every eligible spin.
Use the on-screen controls or physical buttons to choose your bet per spin, including the number of lines where the game uses them. Then press Spin or, on some titles, pull the side handle if the cabinet has one.
When you decide to wrap up, press Cash Out on the panel. The game prints a ticket with a barcode and your remaining balance clearly shown.
Take that ticket to a cashier cage window for payout in cash, or walk it over to another slot and insert it where you would normally put cash.
One practical point that matters more than it sounds: decide what you plan to spend in a single session before you touch the Spin button. Set your upper limit when you are still standing, not once you are locked into chasing a loss.
Hours and Practical Details
| Day | Casino Hours |
|---|---|
| Sunday - Thursday | 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 a.m. |
| Friday - Saturday | 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 a.m. |
The slot area opens and closes along with the main casino, following this same timetable. Table games and the poker room, on the other hand, usually only operate in the evenings. Poker typically runs cash tables and No Limit Hold’em tournaments from around 6:00 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, but those start times can shift, so it is better to check directly with Cascades before heading out for a specific event.

Online Slots for Kamloops Players - The Legal Route in BC
There is a detail that confuses quite a few people when they search for Cascades Casino Kamloops slots online. Cascades Kamloops itself is a physical property only. It does not run its own online casino, it does not host a separate brand of web-based slot machines, and there is no official Gateway or Cascades real-money gambling site operating under the Kamloops name.
In British Columbia, all regulated online casino play is centralized under the British Columbia Lottery Corporation, using BCLC’s own platform called PlayNow.com. For BC residents, that site is the single provincially licensed online casino. From one account you can access online slots, digital versions of table games, and other casino-style products, and they fall under the same BCLC regulatory umbrella that covers land-based partners like Cascades Kamloops.
If a website presents itself as “Cascades Casino Kamloops online”, asks you to create an account for real-money play or tries to take deposits under that label, it is not part of the verified network. Within BC, the only regulated provider for online casino gambling is BCLC via PlayNow, and Gateway Casinos is limited to brick-and-mortar venues, including the Cascades brand locations.
